Device Driver Installation Wizard Download Install Update

I recently bought a G Headset that I know works. When I plug in the USB, a notification appears that states it is installing drivers and then it fails everytime. When I plug the USB into any other computer, it will install the drivers immediately and the headset works great. I have had this problem occur before when I try to plug devices such as a mouse into my computer. Logitech support recommended updating my version of Windows and there were a couple updates I found when I opened up Windows Update.

They also had me install Logitech Gaming Software 8. After both of these didn't work, they recommended that I call my computer manufacturer to download the newest drivers like sound drivers? I built my own computer, so that really isn't a solution. I downloaded Realtek HD Audio in a feeble attempt to hopefully fix the problem. Does anyone know why a computer wouldn't allow USB devices to install their drivers?

This has been a reoccurring problem for some time. Any help or ideas is appreciated. Let me know if any other information about my computer is needed. This issue can occur if there are duplicate drivers installed or corrupted drivers. I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the drivers from manufacturer website and check if it helps.

How satisfied are you with this response? In reply to Anil Kumar B's post on August 10, I am not sure if I properly updated the chipset drivers.

The drivers page is here. I couldn't get chipset-SMU to work because the setup wizard that downloads along with it would state that it couldn't find any drivers that applied to my computer. I have a feeling the problem is chipset drivers, but I am not really sure which one.

Can you take a look at the website and let me know if any of the drivers would solve my issue? When you say to update chipset drivers, would those apply to my motherboard company?

Or are there other chipset drivers that apply to other hardware? Anil Kumar B Replied on August 14, In reply to muhshuh's post on August 11, This site in other languages x.
