Intel Centrino Advanced N Wimax 6205 Driver Download Install Update
Log in or Sign up. Hello, this my first post hopefully of many. I followed a couple threads on here on how to format and reload everything from scratch. It has worked perfectly and I'm much more happier without the Dell bloatware.
That said, the only issue not sure if it's really an issue that I'm having is with the WiMAX driver. I downloaded the latest drivers from here: The wifi and everything seems to be working fine.
However, when I look under device manager, it's the only one that has an "! It says that the driver isn't loaded. Again, I don't know this is really a problem since it's working, but I just wanted to make sure this won't hurt me down the road or if anyone else knows how to fix it. What you should do is while in device manager, right click on the profile and uninstall and check the little box to delete the drivers. Restart and reinstall the intel drivers and restart once more.
EGM92 , Mar 31, I will give that a try, but I need to ask The reason I ask is because I just did a fresh install again last night and it did it again making it two times in a row that it has done that. I just want to make sure that the process you're suggesting actually treats installing the driver differently then installing it from scratch.
Thanks again for your help! Well, I thought I'd bump my old thread letting anyone know that comes across it that I can't find a solution. I've tried just about everything. I did a format and loaded the old driver. Updated the driver to the latest version.
Since they don't have the drivers on the website, they directed me to the intel page. I obviously told them that's where I got the drivers from they aren't even included on my Dell CD.
No help from them. I finally found the solution. I thought I'd post in case the one other person out there gets this card because I'm apparently the only one.
The driver alone does not do it. Hey archittech7- Just logged in to say thanks for posting that fix- I was having the exact same problem with my new machine. What threads did you follow to get a good reload for it? Just threw in windows 7 professional and there's a couple of base system devices in my system manager that are showing up without drivers: JDska55 , Jul 12, You must log in or sign up to reply here.
