Edge of image is touching bottom of sheet and appearing very clearly. But in print preview, image is getting cut from bottom and a white strip is coming on bottom. Similar is coming in printout as well. I want that image to be printed on edge of paper. I dont want any white space below and image on paper. While searching on net i found there is something called non printable area.

I tried checking to reduce that non printable area to zero. Let me know if that is the issue or something. I found this article that gives the answer to your question for Office , but can't for the life of me find how to do it in Here it is anyway in case it is of any help to anyone: Did this solve your problem? Sorry this didn't help. Just to add to what Stefan and Charles have said, the non-printable area is determined by the printer hardware.

Nothing you do in software can get around that. Word will warn you when you set the margins to narrow for what the printer reports as its non-printable area, but you may be able to crib a bit more than what the printer reports it can do.

I want to print to pdf e. There are several links explaining how to create a custom paper size with no non-printing border, but they all seem to be for Word on an Apple machine. The latest version of Word doesn't seem to have an option for creating custom paper size with specifiable non-printing border. Or can anyone tell me otherwise??!

How satisfied are you with this response? Stefan Blom Replied on January 21, You need a printer that is capable of printing to the edge of the paper or you can fake it by specifying a larger custom page format, print the document and manually cut the "excessive" areas around the page.

Charles Kenyon Replied on January 21, Stefan has given you your options. Word believes what the printer driver tells it about what can be done with your printer. Many printers, especially ink jet printers, have a fairly wide area at the bottom that cannot be printed on. Barnhill Replied on January 21, To add to what the others have said, some printers have a "borderless" setting, but it's generally intended for photo printing and may be limited to sizes smaller than US Letter or A4 or may require a special paper carrier.

Often it can't be used to ordinary documents. If you can deceive your printer into thinking the paper is larger than it is Legal rather than Letter, for example , you might be able to trick it, but the downside is that you may be damaging the printer by releasing ink into the works through the required paper handling.

Jim Edmunds Replied on October 19, In reply to Suzanne S. Barnhill's post on January 21, In reply to Jim Edmunds's post on October 19, Word has never had the capacity to define the non-printing area; that's always been defined by the active printer driver. In Win 10, if you print to pdf with the built-in pdf printer a page containing graphics that go all the way to the page edge, that's what the pdf will show.
