Dell Drivers Won T Download Install Update
What is the complete and exact error message? Which drivers are you trying to update? What is the make and model of the computer? I would suggest you to restart the computer in clean boot and try to update the drivers: How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7. I would suggest you to first uninstall the drivers for the device and then try to install the updated drivers. To uninstall drivers from the device manager follow these steps: Select the device you wish to uninstall in the Device Manager window and uninstall it.
You can also uninstall by right clicking on the device and selecting Uninstall from the context menu. A dialog box will open asking if you really wish to uninstall the driver. Click Yes , then OK in the next window. I would suggest you to disable any third party anti-virus software and check if it helps. Running the computer without firewall or the anti-virus software is a potential threat to the computer; make sure to enable the security software after completing the troubleshooting steps and after identifying the issue.

Most of these websites offer you freeware tools to scan your drivers and update them. If you are using tools from such websites, there is a probability that you would get the result that you have described in your post. Often, such tools spread malware. Such third party web-sites are not to be trusted when it comes to device driver updates. I look all over the laptop and cannot find anything that resembles a switch. I looked at the FN keys and there is no shortcut for it or anything. I looked to see if it's under settings in windows 8 but the wifi screen says " no devices ".
