Don't remember what card I was trying it with, but I've got an old Geforce around, I should see if that would be better than running Physx on my Ryzen He seems to run at medium physx settings, particles etc are extremely low, no blood effects either which I think is only on high and ground debri is really limited compared to high. A CPU can run physx okayish, but most of the time getting a much higher framerate is more worth it, and if physx wasn't locked down most CPU's would be able to handle with ease after optimization, since they already do better physics work in newer games that uses better technology.
Oh yea sure it's ugly and lots game engines can do the same thing now on all hardware with less performance cost. It's broken all the way back through Kepler, if you wanted a good physx experience with the game you would want to put Fermi in there. All on an Intel x58 board with an i 4.
Good times were had. I eventually grabbed a third for tri-SLI and had to upgrade to a w psu, cause my w couldn't hack it. Nothing like gaming in Florida with a 1kw space heater. My friend did that and had a box fan for a glorified case panel. Everyone complains about Vega running hot.
Fermi's throttle temp was c! It was down right bonkers. This is what mine looked like. I had 2xmm front fans, 1xmm side fan directly over the s, 1xmm rear exhaust, and 1xmm top exhaust. Look closer, debris effects are there as are blood effects, the effects just do not linger around as much as they do on high. On high frames drop as low as 24FPS. No there is not. There is gore and blood decals and particles like with physx off, but blood fluid and fluid in general is reserved for high.
You don't get fluid from toilets in the game either on medium. You should stress test in a more demanding part of the game like one of the arenas for example. Bodies by default only dissappear after 10 minutes, so it puts a lot of stress on the CPU. Actually you could I run a fury on the ik and it runs about fps with severe stuttering. I think it's caused be the cpu or bad code. I would assume because of lower clock speeds it would look the same to you, but results may vary.
I had to read this several times to comprehend it, sorry. I did something similar to this on my Fury X at the time, in the end I turned PhysX off once the novelty of it wore off. Play this game at the time with the active physics with my Fx and HD It worked very well, when the situation got a little slow I put it off and then I turned it on again: This isn't anything special.
Cpu physx was always fine for medium to low particle counts. The nvidia issue is with GPU physx and the insane amount of particles borderless 2 tries to run in suboptimal fashion after the pirate booty patch that borked the engine.
Want to add to the discussion? Fluid is there just not like high. Test in this way.

Home Discussions Workshop Market Broadcasts. Borderlands 2 Store Page. I have been waiting a long time to play this on Linux and I am very happy this is now available. Looking at the requirements it says it does not currently support Intel or AMD graphics. Was wondering if anyone is able to run this using an AMD card and if so what drivers open source, proprietary etc. Showing 1 - 15 of comments. Well, since there's no linux executable yet it won't even download the other files , I don't think anyone is able to run it at all atm.
